It is hard to remember when we last had such a sunny summer here in Hamburg – so let’s go inside, hide from the oh so brutal sun, grab my bass, and rehearse. For the tour with Ivy Flindt that we will play this September (find all the tourdates on their sites, come over and let’s have an aftershow-beer together!) that we have to be fit for – musically, physically, and of course mentally! I really look forward to this tour because we will play most concerts as a trio, only sometimes accompanied by Michael Dau, a great drummer from Berlin, so that I will find the space to play not only my trusted Jazzbass, but also my beloved Hofner President bass with its warm voice, together with a few selected effects that help me provide a canvas that everybody can paint on (figuratively!).
